Slim as Wings

The segments that connect the phones were created with Cinema 4D / Mograph by combining and animating various sweeps on helixes and sliced tubes in cloners. It had to look technological but also natural and organic, and we achieved this by adding a lot of small geometric elements together that would look as one growing complex segment from far. We used X-particles to emit particles and geometry from the always moving segments. The whole project was rendered in multiple passes with Vray and taking advantage of Mill’s render farm, and composited in After Effects.
